University Crossing is a mixed-use, transit-oriented development being constructed at the North Hanley MetroLink Station. The approximately $20 million project is a partnership between Bywater Development Group and Employment Connection and will include 60 mixed-income apartments as well as commercial space for a new Employment Connection satellite office serving North St. Louis County. Construction began following a groundbreaking in October 2025. Employment Connection reported earlier this year that construction was progressing and that completion is anticipated in fall/late 2026.

A second and considerably larger residential development,Triton Pointe, is also now under construction near the station. The 192-unit apartment development at 4236 North Hanley Road on approximately 12.5 acres. The overall project cost is expected to be approximately $45 million, with the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership providing approximately $27 million in financing.

The development is being undertaken by Kittle Property Group, a developer of multifamily housing. According to the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, construction has begun and the project will replace a group of neglected single-family properties currently occupying the site.
